Being between sizes is the number one reason a jersey or shirt gets returned, and it is the easiest one to avoid. This takes about ninety seconds.
Measure a jersey or shirt you already own
Do not measure your body. Measure something from your closet that fits you the way you want this one to fit. Lay it flat on a table, smooth out the wrinkles, and take two numbers with a tape measure:
- Chest width: straight across from armpit to armpit, about one inch below where the sleeve is sewn on. This is a flat measurement across one side, not all the way around your body.
- Length: from the highest point of the shoulder straight down to the bottom hem.
Now find the chart below for the item you are buying, and the row with the closest chest width. That is your size. If you land exactly between two rows, size up for a relaxed fit or down for a fitted one.
How each item fits
- Football jerseys: classic roomy athletic fit, S to 5XL.
- Hockey jerseys: roomy with long sleeves, made to go over pads or a hoodie, S to 5XL.
- Basketball and baseball jerseys: closer to your regular t-shirt size, S to 5XL.
- T-shirts: soft, slightly slim unisex retail fit, S to 2XL. If you like a roomy tee, size up.
- Crewneck sweatshirts: classic relaxed unisex fit, S to 5XL.
- Hoodies: cut fuller than the tee so it layers over one, XS to 5XL.
Ordering for a team or family
Size each person independently against the charts. Matching sets look best when every jersey fits its wearer, not when everyone orders the same size. Order the whole set in one transaction so it is produced together. Separate orders are produced separately and can arrive days apart.
Still not sure?
Email your two measurements to support@customifytee.com and tell us which item you are looking at. We will tell you which size we would send. We would rather answer a sizing question than process a return.
